EuroBlech 2026
International Technology Fair for Sheet Metal Working: Hall 27 | Booth K65

New ROEMHELD products at EuroBlech:

  • Fully electric quick die-change trolley

  • Push-pull platform for floor-mounted trolleys

  • Flexible hollow-piston clamps with display

Key Topics:

  • Reducing set-up times
  • Making tool changes safer

The RWA 1000 elmo  tool changing trolley, designed for tools weighing up to 1,000 kg, is making its trade fair debut. According to the company, it is the only trolley on the market that combines an electric drive with electro-hydraulic lifting – at the price of comparable models without an electric drive.

A new push-pull platform for industrial vehicles also offers a glimpse into the future of clamping technology: when attached to an electric walkie pallet truck or forklift, it pulls tools weighing up to 1.6 t onto the platform and pushes them into the press.

The third innovation comes from the clamping technology sector: the ‘Flex-Type’ hollow-piston clamping element offers a clamping range adjustable continuously over 30 mm with a visual indicator.

Also on display are new arch clamping elements with mechanical locking and the Flexline-R quick-clamping system featuring a robust, welded stainless steel tension-and-thrust chain.

At the trade fair, ROEMHELD will be presenting not only these new products but also an overview of its complete range for the storage, transport, changeover and clamping of tools in metal forming. The set-up time optimiser will be exhibiting at Euroblech from 20 to 23 October 2026 in Hanover, in Hall 27 at Booth K65.

RWA 1000 elmo: fully electric driving, lifting and lowering

The new RWA 1000 elmo “electric motion” tool change trolley transports press and punching tools weighing up to 1,000 kg. According to ROEMHELD, what makes it unique is that both the drive system and the lifting function are fully electric. A battery-powered motor moves the trolley at speeds of up to 4 km/h, whilst the double scissor lift raises the load electro-hydraulically to table heights between 620 and 1,485 mm. This allows tools to be picked up without physical strain, brought to the insertion height of the press or punch press, and docked there precisely.

It is operated via a multifunctional drive handlebar featuring a continuously variable speed control, a safety limit switch, a horn and an emergency stop. The stainless steel roller table accommodates tools measuring up to 1,000 x 700 mm; with a lateral overhang, dimensions of up to 1,000 x 900 mm are even possible. Adjustable locking bars and side rails secure the tools against slipping and falling, whilst a safety docking rail ensures the exact insertion height. The die changing table is available in various designs, including versions with lowerable rollers or a swivelling bridge.

Push-pull platform: automatically retracts and extends tools weighing up to 1.6 tonnes

ROEMHELD offers an insight into its development work with a new push-pull platform that simplifies tool changes when using industrial trucks. It is mounted on a new or existing electric walkie pallet truck or forklift, has its own electric drive and operates independently of the vehicle.

A push-pull chain pulls the tool onto the platform and pushes it into the press. The control unit is integrated into the platform; optionally, it can be integrated into the lifting equipment. The first model, the RWA 1600 elmo, is designed for tools weighing up to 1.6 t; larger versions for up to 2 and 4 t are planned.

‘Flex-type’ hollow-piston clamping device: 30 mm, infinitely adjustable

Until now, different clamping edge heights have required different clamping elements or time-consuming shimming. The new ‘Flex-type’ hollow piston clamping device, with a stroke of 7 mm, can, by contrast, be adjusted continuously over a range of 30 mm in millimetre increments by turning a knurled nut. The set clamping range is indicated visually via a scale and can be checked at a glance.

This enables users to reduce the number of variants they need to stock, shorten set-up times and increase process reliability.

The clamping force is available in either 60 or 104 kN, with versions offered for 245 and 400 bar. No comparable product is currently available on the market.

Flexline-R: a robust quick die clamping system for heavy loads

The Flexline-R quick-clamping system described here automatically clamps tools of varying sizes onto the press ram using hollow-piston cylinders. The version revised in 2025 features a highly robust, welded stainless-steel tension-and-shear chain designed for heavy loads, reinforced stops, additional sensing options and an improved emergency control system.

This makes the system particularly suitable for automated press lines with frequent tool changes.

Arch clamping elements: mechanically locked, up to 450 kN tension force

The range has also recently been expanded to include double-acting arch clamping elements with an integrated locking pin, available in six versions. The clamping and release pressure is 200 bar in each case; the clamping force varies between 50 and 450 kN depending on the model, whilst the maximum permissible process force is 620 kN. The arched clamping bolt rests on the straight clamping edge; its horizontally acting force is redirected and acts almost vertically on the clamping surface.

A mechanical locking mechanism holds the clamping bolt in the clamping position even in the event of a drop in pressure and secures the upper die against falling. Optionally, a laterally mounted position control system signals the release and clamping positions, as well as any overshoot of the clamping position.

The components are temperature-resistant up to 100 °C when fitted with a position control; without this control, they are temperature-resistant up to 160 °C as standard, and on request even up to 250 °C.

R-MAG: Magnetic clamping technology for sheet metal forming with clamping force display

In addition, ROEMHELD is showcasing its R-MAG electro-permanent magnetic clamping system, which clamps tools of various sizes and geometries fully automatically and without distortion in a matter of seconds, whilst also holding them securely in the event of a power cut.

According to ROEMHELD, it is currently the only system on the market that offers both a clamping force display for greater process reliability and interchangeable magnetic poles. This simplifies maintenance and reduces downtime.

Complete solutions, from clamping to tool changing technology

With these new products, ROEMHELD is expanding its range of user-friendly, safe and efficient solutions for sheet metal forming. At the stand, visitors will also be given an overview of how to optimise set-up times efficiently – from storage and transport right through to die changing and clamping.
