The ROEMHELD Group, based in Laubach, Hesse, is one of Germany’s most innovative medium-sized companies. For this achievement, it has been awarded the TOP 100 seal for 2026 in the category for companies with more than two hundred employees. The award was presented by Christian Wulff at the German SME Summit in Heidelberg on 26 June.
The TOP 100 seal is based on a scientific selection process involving more than one hundred assessment criteria. Prof. Dr Nikolaus Franke, an innovation researcher at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and his team evaluate leadership, working atmosphere, processes, external orientation and demonstrable success in innovation. The competition is organised by compamedia GmbH, based in Überlingen on Lake Constance.
For ROEMHELD, the seal of approval is both a confirmation and an incentive. “Our products help to master challenges in industry. Our strengths lie wherever the highest precision is required or where there is a shortage of skilled workers and processes must nevertheless run safely,” says Julia Reichert, managing director of the ROEMHELD Group. “Our success is also based on the fact that we invest specifically in development. After all, innovative strength is what determines a company’s future viability today.”
In recent years, the group has reorganised and consolidated its structures and processes. A dedicated innovation team with direct access to senior management shortens decision-making pathways and speeds up decisions.
“Our customers want precise and durable clamping and handling technology that helps to automate processes and deliver reliable data,” says Philipp Ehrhardt, also a managing director of the ROEMHELD Group. “That is why we continue to develop systems that combine process reliability with ease of use and collect information that delivers measurable benefits.”
ROEMHELD developed a flexible support system for a customer in the aviation industry to provide secure support for complex structural components. What began as a bespoke solution for a single customer has evolved into an innovative standard module that can now also be used in other industries.
At ROEMHELD, innovation arises from close collaboration with customers, partners and research institutions – and from the courage to consistently develop new ideas further.
