As the number of heavy e-bikes increased, the workshop quickly reached its limits. Conventional assembly stands were unsuitable for such heavy loads. Clamping heavy bikes in place was time-consuming and often only possible with a second person.

Before implementing the current solution, Frank Kraft experimented with a converted hydraulic car jack. Although the approach worked in principle, the solution was not practical for day-to-day use in the workshop.
For Frank Kraft, physical comfort played a key role alongside functionality. Due to health issues affecting his back, hips and knees, working ergonomically was essential.

Frank Kraft was originally interested in a version with an electric rotation axis. In the end, he chose the Bike ProStand without the electric rotation function, which won him over with its excellent value for money and positive results.

Particularly with heavy e-bikes and longtails, everyday use showed that manual rotation works well in terms of both ergonomics and practicality.
