This is how we use our moduhub modular system in our production facility in Laubach.

Each application demonstrates how typical challenges in assembly, material handling, and production processes can be solved with the modular moduhub system. Whether it is an ergonomic assembly workstation, a flexible assembly aid, or efficient workpiece handling – our solutions support the safe lifting, rotating, positioning, and handling of a wide range of components.

This provides you with practical insights into the diverse application possibilities of our modular assembly and handling systems. All showcased applications come from our own production environment and are used there on a daily basis. This page is continuously being expanded with additional real-world examples.

A flexible and versatile workstation for assembly

Challenge

Limited transportation and assembly capacities hinder efficient workflow. Heavy workpieces often have to be transported individually and assembled one after another. This results in unnecessary movement, additional time spent, and longer lead times. In addition, fluctuating order volumes require flexible adjustments to assembly capacities. At the same time, the available assembly space is limited in this case.

Implementation

The modular assembly workstation combines a manual-hydraulic lifting module with a large work surface that offers ample space for assembling swing clamps. The lifting module allows for easy adjustment of the working and clamping heights to suit the task at hand. Thanks to the cart module, the workstation can be used flexibly during assembly; when not in use, it can be stored to save space and quickly repositioned securely when needed. The assembly cart has proven itself in use for decades and stands out for its quality and durability.

When manufacturing engine components, every micrometre counts. MTU Aero Engines has relied on STARK zero-point clamping systems for almost 30 years. These systems enable repeatability of up to 1 µm and ensure precise, automated processes. STARK.intelligence adds digital clamping monitoring to the mix.

Precise quick die change for high-quality car headliners

Headliner specialist relies on clamping technology from ROEMHELD: Precision and process reliability are crucial in the manufacture of high-quality headliners and overhead systems for premium vehicles. Since October 2025, AIOS has been using hydromechanical clamping nuts from ROEMHELD on three laminating presses. These enhance workplace safety and process stability.

Flexible workstation for packing

Changing packaging aids and geometries require flexible solutions in the packing department. A manually operated hydraulic lifting column and a bench vise enable packaging aids to be clamped quickly and securely.
