Short non-productive times are decisive for productivity in stamping and forming technology. The faster a die change takes place, the faster the plant can continue production. At Blechexpo 2023 in Stuttgart ROEMHELD therefore presents a whole range of novelties for the efficient changing process from one source.
These include new die change carts up to 6 t, a rail-guided platform cart for dies up to 40 t weight, new robust sheet clamps for straight clamping edges with locking device and hollow piston cylinders which compensate different clamping heights. The innovations, a new clamping technology app for die clamping, a comprehensive overview of its product range as well as exemplary complete offers for die changing will be shown by the set-up time optimiser from 7 to 10 November in Hall 8, Stand 8505.
The solutions offered by ROEMHELD are as manifold as the requirements of the customers for tool handling. For one company the focus is on the professional and safe storage of the die with racking systems. The next company wants to implement improvements in transport or in feeding to the press. For the third user, the focus is on positioning as well as fast and reliable clamping in the machine. Depending on the customer requirements and the desired degree of automation ROEMHELD offers different clamping elements for this: magnetic, hydraulic, electromechanical or purely mechanical.
ROEMHELD complements its range of die changing trolleys by the models RWA 2500 and RWA 6000. They offer a payload of up to 2.5 respectively 6 t and have a die changing table with integrated hydraulic ball bars and additional pull-push system, which facilitate the automatic insertion of the tools on the press table.
During transport, the hydraulic balls in the table of the changing carriage are lowered and the die is secured against slipping. A safety circuit ensures that the models only move when the ball bars are lowered.
For heavier die weights, a platform trolley with a load capacity of up to 10 t is new in the range. Thanks to its low lifting height, it can be moved freely, comes with a small height adjustment, offers a pull-push chain and is available with different platform sizes.
Loads up to 40 t can be transported with the help of a rail-guided platform trolley, which celebrates its premiere at Blechexpo. ROEMHELD has developed the innovation together with a transport and handling expert from Lower Saxony. It is available on the market in three versions with load capacities for 15 t, 25 t and 40 t.
Moving on round rails results in extremely low rolling resistance, so that loads of up to 5 t can be moved manually. Moulds can be moved effortlessly on the carriage table via integrated roller bars by means of push chains, bridging tables and pre-equipment stations facilitate insertion into the machine.
At Blechexpo pull-push chain systems can also be seen at the ROEMHELD stand. They are directly attached to the machine and move tool weights up to 40 t.
For safe clamping of tools in presses and punches ROEMHELD introduces new robust arc clamps for straight clamping edges with locking device. As their clamping bolts move arc-shaped, there is no mechanical frictional connection, but an increased safety due to an integrated mechanical locking. Also new are hollow piston cylinders with which different clamping rim heights of up to 30 mm can be compensated.
The company also presents a new web app for die clamping and changing technology that allows customers to select numerous products themselves. In addition to animations and technical data sheets, a gallery with application photos makes it easier to understand the information. Various checklists and selection aids support the user in choosing the right products.
